Xu Jiang has been painting sunflower for 15 years, when he encountered Sunflower on the Asia Minor Plateau in 2003, he encountered a number of sunflower garden scenes that shook his mind and body, from these scenes, he opened himself repeatedly and extracted the spiritual core of sunflower garden painting. In this journey of life lasting for 15 years, Xu Jiang returned to his homeland from afar, returned to the vicissitudes of the earth from the sky overlooking, and returned to the home of the group of sunflower, he worked daily on the canvas like a farmer, writing a spiritual epic in the depths of sunflower garden.
今年，是中國改革開放40周年。作為與改革開放相伴相行的一代人，喝改革的水，呼吸開放的空氣，許江這代人最深刻地領受著這場民族偉大解放的洗禮與塑造。對于這代人來說，如果要以一物來發奮抒情，那就是葵。葵作為最能代表20世紀中國人精神風貌的事物，不僅是共和國幾代人的記憶，也是中國人同感共振的成長記錄，更是縈繞著我們生活日常與未來想象的生命蘊涵。葵留給這個時代的是陽光，是伴著陽光的燦爛與激情。
