這是雪水、洪水沖擊的杰作，是狂風的雕刻技藝的體現，溝槽無一相同，由不同的裂隙和重力共同完成。近30 米高的雅丹絕壁鋪天蓋地而來，歷史的滄桑久遠，大自然的鬼斧神工，直逼眼前，決然不是書本畫冊所能盡現，它是歷史留給雅丹的年輪，它是歲月書寫的風殤！
胡楊，大漠，駝隊，草原……看了很多攝影圖片書籍，被書中畫上的雅丹魔鬼城所震撼。近一年，常聽人說起哈密境內有一處中國最大雅丹地貌，名曰“大海道”。聽說是廢棄的絲綢之路，便有了些許猜想，戈壁、紅柳、沙丘、不朽胡楊外加神奇的雅丹地貌大概就是它的樣貌了吧。想起那年烙畫之憾，多次向往而未能成行，皆因其貌尚未揭開，其路無人知曉，貿然進入荒漠深處斷斷不可為而作罷。
